sports journalist

I joined The (Tacoma) News Tribune in October 2017 as the newspaper's University of Washington Huskies beat writer.

I am based in Seattle and cover football and men's basketball. For both sports, my reporting ranges from routine game coverage to in-depth profiles on coaches and players. I also follow recruiting and write about team and Pac-12 Conference news of interest to our Seattle/Tacoma readers.

I regularly record and edit videos to post on and on social media. I'm responsible for growing our digital audience and improving web traffic to our sports coverage by offering engaging content that our readers can't find elsewhere in the competitive Seattle media market. My efforts have proven successful — giving its highest web traffic ever for UW men's basketball coverage after just one season on the beat.

My aggressive reporting and unique storytelling has also led to frequent invitations to appear as a guest commentator during morning and afternoon drivetime on Seattle’s Sports Radio 950 KJR and on John Clayton's morning show on 710 ESPN Seattle.
